This high-quality generic capping unit is designed for DTF (Direct-to-Film) and photo inkjet printers utilizing the Epson L1800 printhead. It ensures reliable nozzle plate sealing during idle and cleaning cycles, supporting consistent ink flow and long-term printhead performance.

Primary Functions

Ink Absorption: Efficiently absorbs residual ink during cleaning cycles to clear minor nozzle clogs and maintain stable ejection.

Dust Prevention: Forms a tight seal over the printhead when not in use, preventing dust and debris from contaminating the nozzle area.

Automatic Moisturizing: Maintains a sealed, humid environment to prevent ink drying during standby, reducing startup failures and misfiring.

Recommended Usage

Replace with every printhead change: To ensure optimal sealing performance and prevent premature printhead failure, we strongly recommend installing a new capping unit whenever replacing the L1800 printhead.

One per printhead: Each L1800 printhead requires one capping unit for proper maintenance.
