The FUJIFILM Dimatix STARFIRE® SG1024/MA-2C is a high-performance, dual-channel piezoelectric drop-on-demand printhead engineered for industrial inkjet applications demanding speed, precision, and durability. Designed specifically for integration into high-speed scanning and single-pass printing architectures, this printhead delivers consistent, high-quality output in demanding environments such as digital textile printing, wide format graphics, and commercial decoration systems.

Equipped with two independent ink paths, each featuring 512 individually addressable nozzles, the SG1024/MA-2C provides a total of 1,024 controllable jets arranged across four rows on a single metal nozzle plate. This configuration supports native printing at 200 dots per inch (dpi), enabling high-resolution two-color operation ideal for complex imaging and industrial marking tasks.

Built with robust materials and an industrial-grade design, the printhead features continuous dual-channel ink recirculation (REDIJET® technology) that ensures stable fluid dynamics, reduces particle accumulation, and enables rapid startup with minimal system downtime. The replaceable stainless steel nozzle plate is engineered to resist abrasion and mechanical damage, maintaining long-term jetting stability even under continuous operation.

Leveraging Versadrop® waveform control technology, the SG1024/MA-2C supports both binary and grayscale operation, allowing fine-tuned droplet modulation for optimized performance across a broad range of ink formulations. It is compatible with UV-curable, solvent-based, and aqueous inks, operating effectively within a viscosity range of 8–20 cP, with optimal throughput achieved between 10–14 cP.

With a maximum firing frequency of 30 kHz, the printhead supports sustained print speeds exceeding 190 meters per minute (623 ft/min) at 200 dpi, making it suitable for high-throughput production lines. Integrated thermal management includes an internal temperature sensor and active control circuitry, supporting stable operation up to 50°C (122°F).
