Epson DX7(L1440-A1) PrintHead – AQ Ink, 1440 Nozzles, 8-Color Output

The Epson L1440-A1 is a high-performance print head designed for precision and reliability in commercial and industrial printing applications.

Built with PrecisionCore technology, it features the MACH (Multi Layer Actuator Head) structure, enabling high-density printing at 360dpi/ 180dpi with accurate dot placement and consistent performance.

This printhead supports AQ ink and offers flexible color configuration:

• 8-color output at 180dpi per color
• 4-color output at 360dpi per color

It utilizes Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT) to control ink drop volume (3.4 – 9.2 – 16 pl), reducing image graininess and achieving smooth grayscale transitions and high color saturation.

With 1,440 nozzles arranged in 8 rows of 180 nozzles each, the L1440-A1 delivers an effective print width of 25.4 mm. Its compact design (60.4 × 46.9 × 71.1 mm) allows efficient multi-head integration, minimizing space usage and improving productivity.

The printhead operates at a jetting frequency of 46 kHz (single dot) and 23.2 kHz (multi dot), optimized for high-speed printing with stable operation.
