The Epson L1440-U2 is a high-performance print head engineered for use with UV ink and eco-solvent ink, designed for industrial and commercial printing applications.

Built with PrecisionCore technology, it features the MACH (Multi Layer Actuator Head) structure, enabling high-density printing at 360dpi/2列 (180npi/1列) with precise dot placement and consistent output quality.

This printhead supports 8-color output at 180dpi per color, or 4-color output at 360dpi per color, offering flexible configuration for multi-channel printing systems.

It incorporates Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT) to control ink drop volume (4.5 – 10 – 19 pl), reducing image graininess and achieving smooth grayscale transitions and high color saturation.

With 1,440 nozzles arranged in 8 rows of 180 nozzles each, the L1440-U2 delivers an effective print width of 25.4 mm. Its compact design (60.4 × 46.9 × 71.1 mm) allows efficient integration into multi-head configurations, minimizing space usage and improving productivity.

The printhead operates at a jetting frequency of 40 kHz (single dot) and 20 kHz (multi dot), optimized for high-speed printing with stable performance.
